The big man sang a solo that sounded like Old Man River. Lea looked across the hearth and saw another soggy, ragged man. He reminded her of Professor Hayakawa, the actor who played the Japanese colonel in Bridge on the River Kwai. The new man addressed the other two. Talk turned to shouts, and soon all three men were shouting and pointing. Lea didn't understand a word of it, but she could see the new man's jaw |
